Gems: Explained

The new Spotlight feature will present you with a daily curated list of 8 popular profiles. We encourage you to send a Gem (the shiny diamond icon) to those members as a way to show interest (similar to a Super Like) and send a Gem Message before you have matched with the other member.

Once you have viewed all 8 profiles, you will be shown the message below. But check back the next day to see another round of 8 profiles! You will be receive 1 free Gem per week but you can also purchase more Gems in packages of 3, 15, and 30. Free and purchased Gems will include the ability to send a Gem Message. 

You will be able to send a Gem to express interest in a member. You also have the option to send a Gem Message before you have matched with the other member. And this helps you show special interest to another member! Please note: a message is not required to send a Gem.

Received Gems:

You can swipe through your main profile stack to see who has sent you a Gem. If another user sent you a Gem, a message and crystal icon will appear at the top of that member’s profile.From there, you can Like the other member back to become a Match.

Additionally, on the Likes tab, a crystal icon will appear on profiles that have sent you a Gem.
